Jagiellonia's first-leg lead survived the return

Rangers lost 2–1 away on 6 August and drew 1–1 at home on 13 August. Jagiellonia advanced 3–2 on aggregate.

Shankland's penalty briefly brought Rangers level overall

Shankland put Rangers ahead from the penalty spot at Ibrox, cancelling out Jagiellonia's first-leg advantage on aggregate. Prelec then equalised for the visitors, making the return 1–1 and putting Rangers behind in the tie again.

There was no further Rangers goal to recover the deficit. Jagiellonia advanced 3–2 overall, leaving the home penalty as a moment when the tie was level rather than the winning goal of a comeback.

The 2022 final and later quarter-final

UEFA records Rangers reaching the Europa League final in 2021/22 and the quarter-finals in 2024/25. The 2023/24 campaign reached the round of 16, while 2025/26 was a league-phase entry.
