Extra time completed the Hajduk comeback

Pafos lost 2–0 away to Hajduk on 23 July, then won the home return 4–0 after extra time on 30 July. That produced a 4–2 aggregate win.

From 2–0 up to a late equaliser against Salzburg

Pafos led 2–0 at half-time after Lele's opener and Biel's free-kick. Tabaković then scored three times for Salzburg after the break, including a penalty, turning the return on its head.

Mammadov equalised in the 84th minute to make it 3–3. That rescued a draw on the night but not qualification: Salzburg's 1–0 first-leg win left Pafos a goal short at 4–3 on aggregate. The return therefore had three distinct phases—Pafos's lead, Salzburg's reversal and the late home reply.

Pafos in UEFA's Europa League archive

UEFA lists Pafos at the first qualifying round in 2024/25 and the third qualifying round in 2026/27. L'Équipe uses the spelling Paphos for the same club's fixtures.

Pafos: fan questions

Did Pafos's 4–0 win over Hajduk include extra time?

Yes. The home return on 30 July 2026 finished 4–0 after extra time.

Why did Pafos go out after drawing 3–3 with Salzburg?

Mammadov's late equaliser levelled only the return. Salzburg's 1–0 win in the first leg still gave them a 4–3 aggregate advantage.
